The Topic format is the default format and is best suited for smaller courses it is easy to start with this format and switch to the grid format as your course grows.

Think about the layout of the course are you dividing the sections by topic or by week, this wil be dependent on the way your course is delivered. There is no set way to do this just as long as it is in a logical format that makes it easy to find the information.

Make sure you hide any content that is not current to this group of students it can be difficult to find information if there is an overwhelming amount on there. Use lables to break up sections and add images as visual guides.
