Acting - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview where you will perform a two-minute monologue from a published source, which you have memorised and staged. No props/costumes.

Costume Design for Performance & Film - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. Please bring a portfolio of your design artwork as well as finished garments or samples of needlework.

Dance & Professional Practice - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to an in-person interview where you will perform a 1.5-2 minute dance solo in a style of your choosing.

Fashion Design - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. Please bring a portfolio consisting of no more than 40 pieces of your work, including sketchbooks, colour work, drawings, textile sampling and some evidence of written work. If you have made garments please bring them to interview or show photographs of them.

Fine Art - BA (Hons) (full-time and part-time courses)
You will be invited to bring physical examples of your artwork to an in-person interview, which demonstrate your creative, technical, written and visual abilities. This could include work produced from both current and previous courses or any individual work produced from a range of specialist areas such as graphics, illustration, textiles and 3D design. If possible, please also bring an example of your written work. This could be an essay or written assignment that demonstrates your use of English Language to show your ability to structure, present, research and interpret your work. It would be good if you could bring a copy of a tutor's written assessment of this work.
We are also interested to see your sketchbooks/ideas books and any other evidence of your interest in Fine Art.

Graphic Design - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend in-person interview. Please bring a portfolio which include samples of your work in a wide range of media plus sketchbooks.

Makeup & Hair for Theatre & Media - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to an in-person interview. You are required to bring a portfolio of work or samples, as appropriate that best demonstrates your abilities. This should include good quality photographs of a range of 2D sketchbooks, drawings, paintings, design artwork, 3D models, sculptures etc. Please also bring photographs of any hair and makeup work undertaken.

Illustration - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. You are required to bring a portfolio of your work, which should include samples of work in a wide range of media plus sketchbooks.

You will be invited to attend an in-person interview, although arrangements can be made for online interviews if preferred.

Music Business & Management - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. We are looking for ambitious candidates with evidence of, or aptitude for business and marketing in a music industry context.
Entry to BA degree level study assumes prior academic standard achievement at A-Level: however, mature students may not be formally qualified. Our interview process is designed to get an overall view of your skills. Weaknesses in one or two areas will not prevent you from being offered a place on the course.

Music Performance - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. In advance of the interview, we ask that you record a 3-4 minute audition piece - smartphone recording will be sufficient. You are required to bring this recording with you to your interview.
Choose a piece you are familiar with and is within your technical ability. We will then have a conversation about your choice of material and the instrumental/vocal techniques used in the performance.
Your interview process will include a simple music theory test for us to assess your current level (20 mins).

Musical Theatre - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. You will perform two musical theatre songs which must be sung unaccompanied. If you consider dance to be one of your strengths, we would also like to see a 1.5 minute dance.

Photography - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an interview either in-person or online by request if this suits your needs. Please provide links to any Professional social Media, websites or online Portfolios. Please also bring written work, and any physical portfolio work, which you feel, is appropriate to the course if attending in-person.

Production Design for Stage & Screen - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. Please bring a portfolio of work or samples, as appropriate, that best demonstrate your abilities. This should include a range of good quality photographs of 2D sketchbooks, drawings, paintings, design artwork, 3D models, sculptures etc.

Prop Making & Special Effects - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to an in person interview. Please bring varied examples of work, photographs and sketch books, be prepared to talk about your portfolio and have ready any questions you would like to ask the interviewing tutor.
Most applicants will show varied strengths and weaknesses in their design/ technical or practical skills, so show all aspects of yourself as a designer, artist, technical and practical maker and this will be a good start. You should show a variety of skills from the following list (very few will show all things listed):
- Designs sketchbooks/ notebooks and visual thinking- these show your creativity and imagination
- Life drawing/ mark making- these show your expressive and observational skills
- Painting and illustrations- these show your knowledge in using a variety of colour mediums
- Pencil sketches/Technical drawing/ by hand and/or digital- these show your precision and visual communications skills
Photographs of:
- Sculptures in a variety of materials, such as clays, wood, metal, foams, plastics etc.
- Puppets, models, prop costumes, furniture, scenic construction, hand and hero props
- Props and Models made for hobbies such as Cos-Play, Larp, wargaming etc.

Textile Design - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. Please bring a portfolio of up to 20 sheets of work, as well as examples from your sketchbooks.
- Include a variety of work that shows the full range of your skills and use of media e.g. research artwork (drawings, paintings, collages, multimedia artwork), developmental ideas, sketchbooks and finished project outcomes.
- We like to see evidence of the whole creative process from research and initial artwork through the whole development of ideas - to help us see this ensure that at least one of your sketchbooks relates to finished work in the portfolio.
What we are looking for:
- We are more interested in your creative potential rather than assessing what your current course has allowed you to achieve
- Creative artwork and ideas are more important than finished textile pieces
- Good observational drawing skills - by this we mean use of any media and in any style - showing your own personal style
- A feel for colour, form, pattern, texture
- An interest in your chosen area (have you been to any recent shows, events or exhibitions, whose work do you love, what do you find visually exciting - what are you passionate about?

Stage Management and Technical Theatre - BA (Hons)
You will be invited to an in-person interview. This will include an informal chat about the course and your previous experience. You are required to bring a portfolio of productions that you have worked on or been involved with to be discussed at your interview.
