At CCG, we want every apprentice to succeed — and that’s where the ALS (Additional Learning Support) Apprenticeship Co-ordinator comes in.
If you have a learning difficulty, disability, or just need some extra support to help you thrive in your apprenticeship, the ALS Co-ordinator is here for you.
What Support Is Available?
- Personalised Help: Whether it’s support with reading, writing, maths, organisation, or using assistive technology, we’ll work with you to create a support plan that fits your needs.
- In-Workplace Support: If you need adjustments or help while you're on the job, we can work with your employer to make sure you’re supported there too.
- Specialist Staff: You might get help from a learning support assistant, a specialist tutor, or someone who can help you use tools and tech to make learning easier.
- Regular Check-ins: We’ll keep in touch to make sure the support is working for you — and change things if it’s not.
How Do I Get Support?
- You can ask for support at any time — even if you didn’t have it at school or college.
- Just speak to your Lecturer, Apprenticeship Lead or contact the ALS team directly.
- Everything is confidential, and we’ll always involve you in planning your support.
Remember: Support is there to help you succeed — not to single you out. Lots of apprentices use ALS, and it can make a big difference to your confidence and progress.
