  • The programme is aimed at students who come from a background which does not traditionally have high rates of progression to university. Any student is eligible to join the programme who meet the following criteria:

    • Neither parent has attended university in the UK or abroad 

    • Low household income


    Other factors may also be considered such as the following:

    • They are a young carer 

    • They are or have been a looked after young person 

    • They have a disability or specific learning difficulty, such as dyslexia 

    • They live in a ‘Low Participation’ Neighbourhood (LPN) as defined by home postcode


    In other words the criteria are very broad and the majority of students at Worthing College are eligible to join the programme. If there are any questions, ask Lee Fulham (First Generation Coordinator) or email l.fulham@worthing.ac.uk
