  • Thank you for applying to ULA Level 3 Diploma in Games, Animation and Special Effects!

    We have put together some guidelines for you to allow you to prepare for your interview. 

    What will happen at the interview?

    Your interview is an opportunity for you to discuss the course, ask any questions you may have about the course. It is an opportunity for us to get to know you and why you would like to do the course.

    What to bring to your interview?

    For the interview please bring with you a portfolio of your art / creative work. 

    This can be in the following formats:

    • GCSE sketchbooks - if you are studying art, photograph, textiles or another creative GCSE, please bring your sketchbook with you
    • Photos or examples of any independent creative work you have undertaken. 
    • Examples of games designs, character designs, or any work done using game development software. 


    What to do if you have not taken a direct creative GCSE?

    • Please put a portfolio together of drawings, sketches, game development related activities, 3D pieces etc. 

    One thing all applicants must bring with them:

    • Portfolio work of drawings or game related creative activities
