The Prevent strategy is a part of the UK's efforts to stop people from being drawn into terrorism and extremist activities. It focuses on early intervention, helping those who might be vulnerable to radical ideas before they get involved in any harmful actions.
The aim is to provide support and education, promoting values like tolerance and understanding. For students, this means being aware of the influences around you and knowing where to find help if you or someone you know is at risk.
If you or someone you know needs help or support, talk to a any member of college staff, who will arrange for you to speak to someone on the Safeguarding team, who will organise the most appropriate support.
Remember, it's important to stand up against hate and violence in all its forms.
