Within Chichester College Group we aim to support our students with Positive Behaviour Management when there are barriers to learning or progression.
Positive Behaviour Management involves identifying any issues surrounding a student’s behaviour which maybe impacting their time at the College, students requiring support maybe placed on the referral process.
The referral process has four stages and the level a student enters is determined by the behaviour which has occurred and support needs.
At a referral meeting the appropriate people are brought together to discuss the barriers and to put the required actions and support in place for the student.
Typically, targets are agreed and these targets are reviewed after a specific time scale, at a referral review meeting.
At this meeting a decision is made in relation to the success of these targets as to if the student is moved up, down or off the referral process.
