Topic outline

  • Welcome to our Getting Ready packs, to help you prepare for your A-levels in September.

On this page you will find the things you need to do written in bold:

The A-level Mindset: this is a task for you to complete to help you think about the step up from GCSE's to A-level study and the skills and techniques you can develop to help you excel during your A-levels.

Subject Getting Ready Packs: click on the subjects you have chosen, and you will find resources to help you prepare for studying that subject in September.

      1. Virtual Taster Sessions - webinars recorded by the subject teacher to introduce you to the subject, information on how it is assessed and to tell you about the Summer Project
      2. The Summer Project is a project you must complete before you start college and submit which acts as your first piece of flipped learning ready for your first lesson.  This is supposed to represent one week's worth of independent study so you can gauge what this will consist of.  Please follow the instructions on the front page of the document for each subject on how to submit your Summer Project.
      3. Introduction to the Subject - voluntary tasks and activities that will help you get excited about the areas you will be studying at A-level. This does not need to be submitted.

We hope this stimulates your interest in our range of subjects, and that you are excited to start your studies with us.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at:  ALevels@chichester.ac.uk

Enrolment will take place on Friday 23rd August, the day after you receive your GCSE results.

We really look forward to welcoming you to A-Levels at Chichester College in September
